I am fully aware of platform sharing three of my own cars share platforms. I was merely making a comical point that this video/commercial is implying that the H2 is both an amazing off-road car (it isn't) and that it is an military spec truck. It is however simply an assembly of spare GM parts assembled to cash in on the gullible american public who buy these vehicles and then believe in their very soles they are driving ex-military vehicles and that somehow makes them more important.

You know, I always have to explain what platform sharing is When we make the Hummer H2, the frame and suspension components from the Tahoe and Suburban (using existing parts and components keeps the price down), but they are put together in a unique manner to produce an entire new frame and suspension system. The frame is welded together to give it strength and stiffness (the H1 frame is bolted together). It's also been chopped off to achieve better approach and departure angles. READ

If you know crap about off roading, don't take those other trucks with their stock wheels and tires where you would take an H2. The Porsche and Tourag are they same, and the 12 cyl eats more gas as does the MB diesel. A BMW 3 is a jacked up 3 series that if you take off road, you must be drunk. Go with a Suburu and save 30K
