I agree with the whole indie-aspect. The word has completely lost it's original meaning, just like the word emo.I definitely disagree with the "crap-band" and "bad-groups" things. Even though bands like Joe Lean or One Night Only aren't completely original, their sound is still great to listen to, and well-played. It shouldn't be called indie, but it's by far not crap either. It's how the music comes together and the lyrics adding to that, that makes me loves bands like this. Great vibes.

i think theyre signed to vertigo, who do have a penchant for signing bad groups (one night only, the rapture). Cant help liking this song though, although you are right about the 'faux-indie' thing. The word 'indie' shouldnt be attached to a band who's record label is a part of Universal music group should it? i'm blaming the NME and their sensationalist, self centred, cluless writers championing this new 'indie revolution'. bah humbug.

ah ha!! joe (the singer) is the ex drummer of the pipettes..i saw him in milan and also took a photo with him..he's been very sweet to me :) glad he's having success with his own band!
