How come this is posted under the category of Comedy ??? Nice to hear some real Morse code, as that's something on the decline in Ham Radio, actually you don't even have to learn the code to get a license now a days, just memorize the answers to the pre published test questions.73's de W0EPK

When amateurs get behind a keyboard, all politeness, friendship and the 'amateur spirit' generally goes down the pan. Pissing and moaning, threats and insults, no respect for the other guy's opinions. Packet radio was always the same. I think the computer age heralded the death of the hobby. Very sad.

'Rafmanne', you're wrong again. Not all who designed their radio systems were Hams. And the point of argument is NOT about foretelling disaster, but RESPONDING to it. Amateur Radio operators DID respond by setting up point to point, as well as repeater communications that greatly aided local and national authorities for various groups. You must have been asleep those few days. Lastly, I did not 'diss' FDNY. I was just mentioning that 38 years with FDNY had nothing to do with your argument.
