Yes, urine is sterile. Barely any germs in the stuff, very true. But come on! Using a toilet is in no way comparable to using a breast pump, for cryin out loud. That's like comparing a...toilet to a breast pump.

Also, If you don't want to be bothered to use a breast pump, why should I be bothered to use a toilet when urinating?

Actually, pee is sanitary as it is leaving the body. That is why people sometimes urinate on wounds when nothing else is available in order to clean it. It is sterile. And for another thing, exposing a breast in public is no different than peeing. I think breast feeding should not be allowed when they make breast pumps and formula now for when you are in public. It is the 21st century people!

you bring a bad rep to the name lainy!

peeing in public actually IS dirty, considering your exposing your genitalia to a world of germs and diseases, not to mention pee is unsanitary.

when my oldest was born i was very about BFing in public. I got over when he started screaming in the grocery store. Luckily i wore an oversize shirt..i rmember the dbl takes and giggles when people noticed my 2mo son's feet hanging out from under the shirt. He was 6mos when a man in McDs told me to take him to the Bathroom, an olderwoman behind me told him to send his brats to eat in there too LOL. my coke went out my nose!!

You're doing it right! You are still modest with it. I always did it with a baby blanket. There's something wrong in the woman's head if she needs to bare it all in the name of her child. I've seen mommie run after her brat (for acting up) and a minute later, the kid is walking up to mommie with fake-crying, lifting up mommie's top to nurse. Then, once he's assured that he's cool, he runs off to play. Mom is still sitting there exposed ("oh, he'll be back in a minute to finish..."). |
