Ugly sticks are great but for largemouth you get about as much a hookset as a wet noodle. But for haulin in big cats nothing beats an ugly stick.

It's not a glowtip, it's a cleartip. they're two totally different things.

Ugly stick is really a shotgun for rods. I've broken most of my fishing poles except for Ugly stick.
