Yes. Both the GuitarPort and TonePorts will work as regular USB audio interfaces with most recording applications including Adobe Audition.

Once your TonePort is set up and your drivers are installed you can launch GearBox and your guitar or mic signal is automatically sent to and processed by GearBox.

Maybe a stupid question, but just to be sure...Does the monitor outputs on the UX1/UX2 send the signal that you have edited with Gearbox? or do you have to connect the monitors to your computer output?

You can use Live's file browser options and save your projects, samples asn audio files to any location you want. You may want to check on the Ableton website and download the manual for Live for in depth knowledge and tips on how to organize your libraries.
