His front wheel touched the rear wheel of the bike in front of him-resulting in a loss of steering control.

FALSE....IF YOU WHERE A PRO YOU WOULD SEE THAT THE DOG DONT MATTER. SCREW IT AND FINISH HARD!!!!THEY WORK THEIR ASSES OFF FOR X AMOUNT OF YEARS AND THEY ARE NOT ABOUT TO GIVE IT UP DO TO SOME STUPID DOG!...plus the rider looked more hurt than the dog.

and they get their asses back on that bike and finish hard like a winner should....when they can. and even when they shouldnt, they do...GREAT SPORT. GO LANCE AND ASTANA 2009!!!

the riders work their whole life to get to the tour. so i think the dogs owners should be feeling sorry for the rider and not the rider for the dog. and aslo there were alot of spectators to make sure the dog was fine

obviously u have no idea what it means to be a competitor its not just a race they give up everything to get a chance at racing in the tour so its not blah blah blah before u make comments know what u r talking about the dog was fine

Ok I'm sorry it wasn't the bikers fault but he should of made sure the dog was ok. He had no concern for a hurt animal. I know it's a race and blah blah blah but there are more important things than winning.It doesn't matter HOW the dog got there. That doesn't change anything!!!

That crash by Zabriskie- while wearing the Yellow Jersey- was ridiculous. He just toppled over on a straightaway.
