The Mogwana Dance Troupe is a group of professional artistes based in Gaborone, Botswana. They specialise in traditional music, song and dance of indigenous ethnic groups of Botswana and the southern Africa in general. This dance is commonly known as Phathisi, refering to the pieces of skin and rags tied to the legs which are slapped to sound like a drum. It is generally performed in happy times, such as at harvest, by herdboys.See www.peakperformances.co.za for booking info.

Of course! The Sotho in Zim are a very proud people- in fact; coz of my mom's influence I feel more Sotho than anything else most times! I think Kalangas speak Ndebele coz they dont bother to pass on the culture and language to us.
