Yes yes, Kansas city Frank? I think I have heard of him in conjunction with other Jazz and Dixie artists. I didnt know about the nature of his passing, I am sorry. Are there any surviving recordings of his?

Just leaning, swaying with an amzing woman in the wee hours of the morning to the sound of Goodman's version of moonglow - uhmmmm such delight and nothing in this or any other life matters except for that lovely moment.

No, my father was Frank Melrose. He played piano in the 20's and 30's with primarily black musicians. His last recording was made in 1941. He was brutally murdered that same year. I inherited his love of the piano, and the music of that era,,,That is the reason that your rendition of Moonglow fast became a favorite of mine,,listen to it daily. Fantastic!!

If this doesn't get to you, you "ain't" able to touch. My father was one of the first white men to play blues and jazz with black bands in the Chicago area, in the 20's,.. with some greats, When I see this integration of fantastic musicians I get goose bumps. Fantastic, isn't it!
