Short Version/15 minutesKristen Hapke and I dance within the image sound environment created by 20 digital video clips of the bar scene ... all » of the film "Who is Afraid of Virginia Wolf? . Using a motion tracking system, the dancers actions affect the speed of playback (stillness=slow motion, movement=normal speed). The image of the dancers is mapped and mixed with the video clips. When the dancers cross the middle section they trigger a random change of the clip. In the second and third excerpt he motion of the dancers are captured and recomposed. All this was a adaptation of SPIFF to a more portable system: only one laptop is used for the performance. It only took 30 minutes for setting up and technical test (venue constraints). These are excerpts of three landscapes of Spiff/Unstablelandscape V performed at the series Movement Research at Judson Church in New York City, March 2005
