Right there with you. He's very good, but he will never be Stevie Ray Vaughan. No one ever can be. It's like this, Hendrix could never have been SRV, Clapton couldn't be SRV, VanHalen can't be SRV. They're all their own player with their own style, and hopefully this kid will be too.

There is very little talent that separates the greats. They might differ a bit with their intonation and style. But talent wise, not much difference. And a lot of that comes down to personal preference in what you like to listen to. Who knows how this kid will develop. Some who exhibit great talent at such a young talent fizzle in a few years. Others are special and their talent only grows with age. Time will tell how this kid does. Right now, he is damned good and then some.
