If you think I'm telling a lie or working an angle then I'm sorry you feel that way. I have no scars on the outside to prove it except a set of dentures and frequent problems with my sinuses. I was actually defending my girlfriend(wife) at the time I got my face kicked in. Nothing about the person who did this to me matters except the fact that he was a violent angry person. A person who needed help but probably got nothing except pushed out the door or put behind bars. Tough love is a lie!

This is not a judgment on anyone if you too grew up in a place like I did. I welcome all with open arms and realize it's who you are that counts and not where you're from or how you grew up. Like I said I've stuck fast with as many of my friends from bad homes. Even more so because they were always there for me as I was for them. My friend Scott was there for me as was my girlfriend(now my wife) at the time I had surgery to fix my busted mouth and nose in 88.They are both from homes like Rolands

Sorry: from 1st blog. The kids were given no rules except what they saw thier parents do and what the upside down culture taught them. I had alot of friend like Roland too. Who were from a home as he describes but also knew that life was more than the fist full of nails they'd been handed. They were always around and never moved. I still have a good friendship with several of them like my friend Scott. We've been friends just short of 30 years.

If you didn't subscribe to these ideals of bigotry and obsession then you were considered an enemy to both the kids and thier parents.I had a few friends who were taught the right way to be but there were'nt many of us raised that way.Thier parents ussually moved away before long to escape the place.My grandparents and thier parents had lived there since the 1890's and weren't about to give in.I didn't just go by what they told me about others.I experienced it first hand. I feel like Roland speaks on the same terms that I do. Although I was raised by my grandparents who were quite kind. My life outside of the home was alot like what he describes. The culture I grew up in was a very angry and sexually obsessed culture. Alot of the parents just pushed thier kids out of the door and gave them no rules except. Things were'nt all Aunt Bea and Mayberry here in the 80's. Alot of racial violence in the schools. Lots of kids were on drugs and or sexually active by 12or13.

AAH I appreciate where your coming from now I get you,all the best for 08 with a bit of luck more new releases from ROLAND but I wouldnt count on it!!!
