The best comment I ever heard from a music critic for this song appeared I beleive in Magnet Magazine..."If the New York Philharmonic would have debuted Exit Music and claimed it was written by Behtoven and the sheet music was recently discovered in a dusty European church basement, it's doubtful anyone would question its origin. It's that artful and exquisitaley wrought, and you have to pinch yourself that melodicism this advanced is coming from a contemporary rock band."

It's Chopin's Prelude no 4 opera 28 in e minor. It is the inspiration for this tune. Just listen to it. I love both.
