The hamster's voice sounds kind of like the curly haired guy from The IT Crowd.

It's a pretty good question but there are many possible explanations. I think the term most used is "irreducible complexity", the idea that you can't evolve a wing incrementally because half a wing wouldn't have any use.The answer is (as always in hind sight) pretty simple. Most of these complexer organs started out as something else. Wings may have evolved from fins for example. This is called a 'function shift' and has been observed in many species.Love the animation too btw, great show :D

the hamster has a good point...there are some things - like wings - that perhaps even the idea of 'evolution lag' (I think that's the term) can't explainPS love the sight gags, like the penguin dive :P

The simplest creature here has the most insight. Oh all of them are charming in their own way. This is a marvelous video.

Oh, haha, I thought you didn't understand gradual evolution for a second there. Luckily the video came to 5:00 before I clicked "Post Comment". :) What a great video!

theory of evolution completely blown...'no matter how many times i jump off a building, i'm not gonna grow wings'

OMG HE ACTUALLY SAYS "..a could of water molecules form and momentarily become Brian.." !!! IT IS HIM!!

The amoeba at 1:54 really sounds like Brian Cox from CERN lol

The egg came first. the first chicken was once in an egg. Something similar to a chicken laid it. Simple darwinism! :)
