You can get their new album before it comes out as a torrent. I didnt like Way of all flesh as much as their last album (this one) from mars to sirius, but after you hear their new songs twice or more youll really get into it.

Haha, thanks.Yeah, I'd say they have a mix of Progressive lyrics, Death Metal vocals, and Groove Metal instruments. And a little bit of that special Gojira sound thrown into the mix!4 more days for the new album here, too!

I love talking about this shit :D.Its more the sound/teqhniques in their other songs.Progressive-Groove-Death MetalThe lyrics fall under Progressive metalProgressive metal lyrics are usually political, philisophical or spiritual.I also think they cant really be put in any genre because there are no other bands ive heard out there like gojira.Though i like putting nearly everything into a category. :DI like the way you think, thumbs up.

Yeah but I wouldnt classify them as death metal because of their lyrical content.One of Death Metal's key characteristic is that its lyrics revolve around death, violence, gore, etc.Gojira's lyrics are more geared towards the environment, the earth, the universe, etc.Sure, they have certain characteristics that can be related to certain genres of metal, but I still think their combination of them all is unique and gives them their own sound.Of course, that's all just my opinion :]

You're right, this song is more progressive groove.Listen to Deliverance buy Gojira, its hard to judge a band when you've only heard like one of their songs.Id love it if you leave a reply on this comment after you've heard it. :D

You could actually call them progressive groove death metal but at the same time a few of their songs have aspects of grindcore, thrash metal, hardcore, melodic death metal/gothenburg metal, nu metal (I shit you not) and many other genres (etc etc).There is no genre for their soft stuff though. Although its fucking amazing.The video has changed from last time i saw it :/. But i like the new video anyway.

Gojira isn't in any category of metalthey combine elements of many different genres and have their OWN unique soundthey only label I would give them is "fucking heavy"
