I'm not too informed on the goth scene at all, but I'm sure it's pretty common knowledge that genres do tend to cross over, like electronic rock or nu metal(one might describe as rap metal) hell, allot of the "independent" genres of modern time stem from a combination of old genres originally starting out as a simple crossover. Actually we might all be able to find our roots in tribal bonfire dance music.....mmmmm, the start of club music, BOOM DEYADA BOOM DEYADA

The real question is the goths truly of what they pretend to be? Anyone could have dark thoughts. You can call me a geek, but if you for one moment thought about the things I've gone through, how dark my thoughts could be, you might as well call me goth too.

... Oh plz... There's many type of goths, and some of those goth types like Industrial, ebm and electro etc..Especially dark (industrial-)electro is popular among goths... Yes, industrial music... Rivetheads aren't really goths, but goth likes... And Rivetheads are the fans of industrial scene.
