I think a lot of the actors in the movies didn't even act before, but they were perfect so they got casted. The casting is too perfect for EVERYONE to have actually been an actor..

I don't think he really needs to "step up being the older brother because fred and george left hogwarts." Ginny is actually much more mature then Ron most of the time.And Ron really just adds emotional support to Harry, as what Emma Watson said in her interview, it's all about how their friends develop how that's what they count on to get by.

I think Rupert's right Ron really grew up. I kind of think beyond the fact that he's out of that awkward stage he has more responsibility coming at him cus he has to step up and be the older brother now that Fred and George leave Hogwarts and he really has to defend Harry in this one.
