Growing up a Catholic and listening to rock 'n' roll, it was r'n'r that motivated me, and gave me a joy that the Church could never give. It is a sick institution that forced its beliefs onto scared young children..though I was lucky in some respects..the odd bit of capital punisment I encountered was nothing compared to the beatings and rapes so many young children received at the hands of the church's practitioners..so the Pope doesn't like rock 'n' roll?..yeah..that sounds like him!

Actually I see some value coming out of this guy's papacy. he has said that he wants to create a smaller more conservative church. If that happens, then at least this corrupt church will have less power and influence over world culture.
