This is a great idea! They should do a CG version of the Mona Lisa, cuz the original painting is a piece of crap. It doesn't look as much like a real person as they could do now with computers, and I'm sure da Vinci would have done the same thing if they'd had computers back then. They should have thrown more money at the Star Trek thing though, to replace those nasty, violent phasers with walkie-talkies.

For the budget star trek had I think they did a really good job-they could have just put a lame head on the gorn but they went the extra effort and made him blink his eyes a few times to make it look more real....

Same here, on both counts. It's the first ep I remember seeing. I was about 8 or 9. It had the cool ship and the hero fighting the "scary monster" but it had the twist at the end (spoiler)- Kirk didn't kill the Gorn and the Metrons let them go because of humanity's capacity for good. A very Star Trek moment. That's when I got hooked for life.
