They had alot of heated disucssions about the musical direction of the band. Songs like november rain, dont cry and such is the reason guns n roses broke up. well, the reason why slash left. Cause he wanted to play hard rock, songs like welcome to the jungle, you could be mine and such. And Axl beeing an asshole was a control freak and behaved weird was the last straw.

no it didn't. Read slash's book. He quit cause of Axl's dictator approach in dealing with the other members and treating them like hired hands and making decisions without their consent and showing up late for concerts.

Indeed it is. I thought I was the King of Crunk, but Slash is a monster...Freebasing at age 12, bloody up peoples bathroom cause he can't find a vein, coke-freakouts involving running naked in a resort, 1/2 gallon vodka drinking b4 leaving the house, etc. Crazy book, but it, steal it!

Yeah, exactly he just couldn't handle Axl's bullshit anymore. Same with most of the other members of the band they all left, I forget which one did get fired though

That's most of the story right there. In Slashes book he said he would of played any type of music Axl wanted, but the constant being late for gigs, walk-offs and freak outs were the last straw.

lol, where did you read that Lollage? Wikipedia? Guns N Roses broke up because Axl took control over the whole band. If i don't remember wrong, i think that he fired Gilby without telling anyone and hired another rythm guitarrist. And when GNR was making the follow up to Use your Illusion, Axl was controling the band, even when he was'nt with them in the studio.

omg, check ur facts... slash says, IN HIS BOOK, that he didnt leave because of the music. he leaved cos he couldnt co-operate with axl. axl was too bossy with the band.
