I first heard this song on The Young Ones. When I finally heard the whole thing it cracked me up and still does to this day.

great fun - love the nonchalance of the keyboard player and the dancing is legendary - But what's with the ropey backing singers?

Kirsty MacColl did not sing on the recording of this song. She mimed what had been recorded by others on some of Jona's performances.

Bass is played by the best bass player ever, none other than the legendary Norman Watt-Roy of Ian Dury and the Blockheads. I saw him only a few months ago at the 100 club in Oxford Street and can tell you that he is still absolute magic.
