Their newest album "Pearl Jam" is definitely one of their best. I have every PJ album and love them all. Also Binaural is a VERY underrated album.

Why can't you guys just enjoy the song without bringing up this unnecessary, boring drummer discussion? It's the strength of the songs that makes PJ stand out, the result of a collective effort. The whole band has evolved throughout the years and not just because of the drummer.

I wouldnt actually say that Soundgarden is similar to Pearl Jam, though they are from the same movement. They kick ass though, but I wouldnt say Down on the Upside is their best album, its good, but I like Superunknown, and Badmotorfinger better. As for similar bands to Pearl Jam...Temple of the Dog is basically Pearl Jam + Chris Cornell and though they only put out one album its amazing. Another band I'd check out is Mother Love Bone. One of the forgotten Seattle bands. |
