its called deconstruction....think of 21st century schizoid ma, etc. king crimson used that technique a lot. patrick watson are great because they have so many diverse elements...classic rock piano ballads (floyd, supertramp,etc.) , prog, jazz, soul, indie rock, ambient, chopin and satie, etc....they are very talented musicians. |
