Analyzing political candidate's rhetoric is utterly hopeless. Using the first two examples with Obama on Gun control is a perfect example--he isn't taking a stand.

Actually, we were 6 trillion dollars in debt when Bush took office, now hovering somewhere right below 9 trillion. You are mixing up the Federal Budget and National Debt, two different things. get your numbers right.And I am not making excuses for Bush, his record fiscally is a horrendous, but the national debt under Clinton increased upwards of 1.5 trillion dollars and the only reason we had a "balanced" federal budget is because we didn't spend all the money Clinton increased on us in taxes.
