I abslutely love this song and even prefer SRV's version to Jimi's original. This also very tastefully done for a promo vid, but none of this changes the fact that this is an advertisment using footage of dead men to sell mass produced generic instruments. Fender are brilliant at branding themselves.

I love this song. Besides the obvious groove, feeling etc..it's also an excellent demonstration of technique. Octaves, slides, pull-offs, hammers, sweeps, double-stops all while keeping a beautiful melody in tact. Awesome demonstration.
