Calliope used to come on M-F, everyday around 9 or 10am.. back in 1985 or so. When did they show it on Sundays??

I remember the "commercial" they had for the show before it came on: "Next on....CALLIOPE!" And then I think one of the characters jumps up and down saying "I like it!"...I'm going to try to find that commercial/intro.

NIGHT FLIGHT intro was a trip. I knew people that got high when NIGHT FLIGHT came on.

I LOVED watching USA network back then right next to HBO. TV will never be the same as it was then. It was stuff on TV that people actually learned from it. Just by watching.

So true. Kids nowadays have so many choices and freedoms that they are no longer PUSHED beyond themselves. I remember being a kid and watching grown up movies and understanding most of what went on, and even liking them, but kids today are free to watch 100 channels on a TV in their own room. How are they ever going to grow?Ironic how freedom can hurt you.

I remember sending in a letter to the calliope show to enter a contest and I got a runner up prize which was a calliope pencil and balloon. I was so dissapointed but I kept watching the show! lol! thanks for sharing this clip, brings back great memories. :)
