It's easy to discipline children without inflicting physical pain. You only think hitting kids is necessary because your parents used to hit you as a child. It's time for you to evolve. I suggest you study "Developmental Psychology". Thousands of respected PHDs have dedicated their lives to researching parenting techniques. You should ACTUALLY STUDY the topic. Don't just assume smacking a kid is OK because your parents did it to you.
