Uno de los mas grandes guitarristas de todos los tiempos, sin lugar a dudas. "El mejor" para Jeff Beck por ejemplo.Dinah, Minor swing, Nuages, etc.A leyend, a genius!

You are hearing Django beginning the transformation to amplified Be-Bop guitar here. Sadly of course he didn't survive to complete the metamorphosis, so we never got to find out how far he would've taken it. he might have out bopped The Bird.. Who knows? Fascinating to muse over that. I'd put this recording circa 1946, in the USA. But I can't be sure. It's one track I don't have.

What album is this recording on?

who is willie? Django is number one, I have heard that even Charlie Christian was heard playing note for note Django solos live. He was the most 'exciting' vivavious of the old guys like, carl kress, eddie lang, van eps etc.

I think it's actually you hear alot of Django in Willie's playing.

Django electrified adds a little more kick to his playing. Some punch. Its cool.
