Just like Classical and Metal, you have to listen to the right rap music.Check out Blackalicious- Blazing Arrow or some Jurassic 5. Definately not boring and "musicless".

Hey im a metal and hardcore fan as well. But I also love classical. It seems to me that ur teacher is just an idiot. My friend whos a crazy violinist wrote an article for violinist,com called "narrow mindness in music" and its about how he went from thinking that classical players should never listen to anything else. Once he gave metal a shot he fell in love with it. The problem isnt that classical sux, its that ur teacher is an idiot when it comes to these things

Yes, you are correct, thanks for the reality check. Trolls only have the power you give them.It was not this piece so much as my emotionally abusive teacher, and my deep love for rock music, which he tried to keep me from playing. I was told, "there are two kinds of musicians, players and composers. You are a player, not a composer." This piece became symbolic of the strict control that classical traditionalists often like to exert over the younger generations -- I ran the other way FAST.
