Incidentally, Neal Schon, later of Journey fame, played a gg with the band in the end of their carreer. Eric actually thought about adding him to the band, but it never happened as the drugs and a buncha other shit tore them apart while recording their second album, "Chocolate". No Duane (or Neal) on the Second album. There are bootlegs of the studio takes, though, all of which are great.

WrongDuane Allman played slide guitar on the Studio album, and was - if you want to call him that - a "member" of the band exclusively during those sessions. He never comitted to the band because he wanted to tour with his brother. The band itself, however, is composed only of these 4 guys. They were the ones who toured as Derek & The Dominos. Duane only played live with them on maybe 2 occasions. Only one is documented in bootlegs - a Tampa FL. show.

I'm assuming that since Duane Allman was a member of Derek and the Dominos that this was within a year of his tragic death by crashing a motorcycle into a peach truck.

is anyone here a good enough musician who wouldnt mind taking the time to actually tab out some of this solo for me as im thinking about playin it with my band at an upcoming gig (im just a kid but i happen to be a personal friend of delaney bramlett and in exchange i could hook you up with his email address)

Carl's totally stylin'.
Scott4Jesus (October 4, 2008 at 6:38 pm)
At this time in Clapton's career he is only doing a Delaney Bramlett imitation. Heck he stole all their musicians. It took him quite a few years to develop his own style. And he does have his own style that is for sure. When you hear Clapton you know it is Clapton.

they probably did a lot of drugs. just like everyone else back then. but they could put on a better show than about 90% of musicians today.drugs or no drugs, the musicians in the 60's and 70's had real talent.
