Pardon me if I sound like a Buick salesman, but--have you ever been shown a more talented Hammond player? (c.f. "Have you ever ridden in a finer automobile?")

Are there any other tracks in circulation from this concert in Milan? We saw this track on some ELP-history DVD that we rented from Netflix. That same DVD shows a brief clip of Carl Palmer with his stainless steel drum kit and and sythesizer pickups being interviewed by some guy on some British TV show. We would love to see that whole show.

Nothing awful about this. This is KE in his Prime. Age and injuries happen. Still waiting for his equal.

It's awful, I saw a performance of The Keith Emerson Band, and it's sad to see that Keith had such difficulty playing, (his hand seems very stiff)it's a shame that such talent had to come to an end.

Keith can't touch this today. This was 35 years ago, when he was in his prime. Surgeries on his amazing right hand have limited him further. To play a Hammond like this is extraordinarily difficult, evidenced by the fact that no one has done it since.

I was remembering back in the college days when I had to take ARTS. Learning about the American Composer Copland I noticed that ELP did so many of his works. I think maybe they have more of a solid connection with America doing these songs in that they would appreciate them. I did a presentation in class that showed many classic songs that went rock by artist like ELP. For some of them it was the first time they ever heard it. Many were impressed.

ELP - Can the boys still do it today? Man would love to see them. The Works album is the greatest. Classic goes rock. They can bring something from then and make it sooo NOW. Brillent!
