Personal opinion here, but Rage was more influential and political, while Audioslave made better songs. And then Chris Cornell had to sell out and start doing gigs with Timbaland...what a disgrace.

are you stupid? rage meant so much more than audioslave. they were so much more than puck ass green day who decided to be political because it would sell records. audioslave is great, no doubt, but RATM was way better, hands down. to call their anger phoney is insulting.

audioslave got it right. soundgarden and RATM tried to hard. these lyrics were so much better than the phoney anger RATM had to offer or the superflouous screaming of soundgarden songs of the early 90's. i think the best of the 2 bands got together and made their best music and split ways. i just wished it lasted longer than it did. RIP audioslave.
