You have to appreciate that defenders and goalkeepers were shit in those days, worse than the modern equivalent of the ryman league. So it's hard to say how good pele would actually be in 2008. He was ahead of his time then but I don't think he would be particularly special today.

Others footballers, from past and present are in a level so below that their fans constantly need not just compare them with Pele but also attack him, trying pathetically with just words and fallacies diminish his feats. As Better of all times, the careers from all these guys doesn't stand by itself !
