I fell in a pond once with my N95 in my pocket. I took the battery out and left it to dry for about 2 days on top of a radiator. Still works now :D

i washed my ipod nano and left it to dry for a couple of days and it worked but i had to take it back due to a malfunction. I got replacement then did it again DOH! but it is still working to this day.

If I had an Ipod (or anything else sealed) I'd check it didn't work, then take a hacksaw or penknife to it, and proceed as Mr Bentley suggested for the other items. Admittedly you've still got to superglue it back together afterwards.

my ipod nano went in the wash so we left it in a airing cupboard and it now works fine again

moyerz123, was it the new iPod shuffle? The new shuffles seem to be more waterproof than the old ones. I think it maybe because the old ones have a usb port.
