Thanx for posting this Ferret....I was doing a motorcycle trip across australia, and had this track stuck in my head whilst traversing some of the really hot arid areas....straight to hell, indeed.....

and another british band beats international used the bass line for the clash's guns of brixton song for their dub be good to me or just be good to me which was original made by the american rnb group the s.o.s band.

rutopeeriom, take a chill pill man, jeez, first of all like dilutepeople said, she got that cleared already, hello, do you think she wants to be sued? and second, it makes people like me want to buy the original song as well, do you not think more people will start buying this song and other songs from the clash etc, its more like re introducing older artists from back in the day.. some bands love when they are sampled because they are getting paid again.

The only problem with songs like these being sampled from is that most kids today do not know of the original music or what a great influence songs like this have on today's music. But I totally agree with it keeping their music alive. I love hearing old songs being sampled from and used in newer songs. |
