I've heard this tape(not on video) so many times, for my friend in US sent me on reel to reel tape. She recorded it from TV. I couldn't enjoy this kind of great program in Japan. So I've been imaged Marty and Merle sing together like this. So you know I'm so happy to live in this high technolgic world to enjoy many video on PC. Thanks for uploading.

I agree that Merle has been one of the very BEST performers I have ever seen/heard!! What a great video clip this is with him doing this Marty Robbins imitation. I really enjoyed it, and thanks for posting it!!

Merle is a true stand-up guy who has backed his friends 100% & taken the fall for some. Yet sadly, from the time he was a kid, extending through his heart operation & new record deal a few years ago, he has been betrayed, exploited, cheated, & belittled by those he trusted. Now old, tired, broken, & suffering from lung cancer, he battles to live, his legacy preserved in 400+ songs he has written, recorded & never released. I am asking that he receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009.

I couldn't agree more Walru11.Mighty Merle's talent is overflowing.Particularly at this point in his career.His songwriting ability is unsurpassed.He is a musical talent we may not see the likes of again for a very long time.

Merle was being kind. Marty was GREAT, but Merle could DO Marty's voice (plus a dozen other country singers spot-on identically) while Marty could only do Marty. Haggard is the height, the best, the pinnacle of vocal, guitar, & songwriting talent. He richly deserves the Presidential Medal of Freedom as one of the greatest contributors to American culture in the 20th century. Despite his often contrary nature, the Hag is an authentic American genius. I pray for him now that he may recover.
