Glad you agree with me that there was no criminal offense here.... Other than THEIR careless and negligent use of a substance THEY classify as prohibited!
mike6291 (September 29, 2008 at 1:01 am)
It seems clear that neither you, the police or politicians for that matter, understand criminal law, as established by our common law - which is the SUPREME Law.In order to have a CRIMINAL offence, you require a damaged party, and intent... Just writing something on paper, and saying 'don't do this' does NOT make it criminal - except in police states. Such as the idea that Jews were not allowed to own property, etc..Review all the activites here, and you can see where the crimal act is.

And, let me remind you, if you watch the video, is specifies the fact that "the vehicle behind her was the truck that was stopped, and that there were people in the back", therefore, that is a valid traffic stop. It is in fact illegal. Yet you would probably say, that if that truck got in an accident, and those people died, and the cop didn't do anything to prevent it, I guess it's probably the cops fault in that instance too, right?
SAStatePolice (September 28, 2008 at 11:28 pm)
That is just it sir. There is something called probably cause. What probable cause does is allows you to make a traffic stop on a vehicle. If the p.c. was not valid, they would not of have gone to the extent of spraying someone. When you are on a traffic stop, that means you are detained (must stay there) until the officer lets you go. The cops did not know what was going on as far as them trying to give a ride. They never decided it was a criminal offense either. They conducted their job
mike6291 (September 28, 2008 at 9:12 pm)
Wrong. The VICTIM and his family were merely out celebrating a soccer game, and enjoying a sunny afternoon... The so-called "peace officers" in the area decided that "giving someone a ride" was a criminal offence (obviously not having even a basic understanding of our common law) and assaulted the driver..Courts have consistantly ruled that we have a right to defend ourselves... even when it is against an unlawful arrest. Ignorance of the common law is no excuse.

Accidents do happen you know. It wasn't intentional that an infant got sprayed in that whole ordeal. If those people would not of have swarmed that officer, none of this would of happened to begin with. People remember, we are all human being(s), and believe it or not, EVEN COPS, so don't sit there and bash on them. Because one day you will need them.

Exactly.PEOPLE, POLICE JUST BE POLICE SO THEY GET A "Do whatever I want and get away with it"If you were at there, you'd be very mad and pissed off. You won't be saying "Oh, they're just doing their jobs" Because all they are doing is just celebrating. They won a (championship?) soccer game, And they were partying.Cops pull by, asks what the **** is going on, And ignores it, then delibrately sprays pepper spray at everybody with the charge "Assault"

And judging by many of the posts here, we also need better understanding by the people of what the purpose of law is, and its function in protecting OUR RIGHTS.Seems that no matter how many times I explain it, people still think the police can just claim "I vaz just following ordaz!!"Sorry, but police swore to uphold the "law of the land", so they better find out what that phrase means. It does NOT mean law of men or legislatures. Once again: police are responsible for their actions.

The liberty, cops, and governments solution to pepper spray : tazers.Seriously. Hundreds of people die from tazers, and they think its a good replacement for pepperspray? I say we need better police. |
