I have one too it's sick real responsive and does have a fat sound snd is awesome in all ranges of the horn. i've never had a valve stick on it yet and barely have to oil it. but it's an awesome horn ( Highly recommended)

Hey Secretmarksman:You should tune your horn before you begin playing the reason for me posting my comments was just to make the point that brands do not matter however we can agree that you should buy a mouthpiece because it has all the chracteristics that you are looking for; the main thing should be that it fits you perfect and you can play it it should be the same for the trumpet when you are buying. My friend loves A.Sandoval but when he tried his trumpet model not a note came out.

ummm, since when do you not trust your ears for tuning? its not like you can pull out a tuner in the middle of your playing and adjust. most of your tuning probably will be done by ear.

To all of you out there talking B.S. about instruments let me teach you how to choose a trumpet. 1st playability...you can not buy something that you can not play. 2nd once you do find something that you can play make sure and play test the horn with a tunner. If it is not in tune it is not worth buying and no...do not trust your ears that what tunners are for.3rd Valves must be flawless. 4th Color of timbre meaning you should love the sound color and its resonance. NOW you bought

Ya Know, a GREAT player will sound good on ANY horn or ANY mouthpeice. Give a listen to Buddy Morrow on Trombone... find "The Golden Trombone" album or "Night Train" on RCA or Mecury... I was with Buddy Morrow for 15 years and he told me that Bill Ratzenberger (Jet-tone mouthpeices in Fairfield, CT )gave hime a mouthpeice and it became The Buddy Morrow Personal Model" Buddy could play on a garden hose and sound great!!!
