My father once told me that he'd like to go out in New Orleans style. Well, when my father passed in 2006, we (brother, sister and I) couldn't afford to hold his memorial service 1600 miles away from our home in NJ.But, we did the next best thing: my brother (pianist) and sister (singer) played the "serious" music throughout the service (no church involved). But, once the memorial service was over, my brother and my father's amateur dixieland jazz band, The Ramblers, played "Saints".
