You are just a sick attention whore buddy. You go around and cut and paste this same comment on every Hummingbird video you can find. Get a life of your own instead of living vicariously through your uncle.

Not putting you on..... My uncle, Hartford Snyder, worked in the Gibson custom shop in Kalamazoo for 40 years. I still recall him sketching out the Dove and Hummingbird on paper before giving his idea to Gibson. They named both guitars after his pickguards. I kept a few for myself. Heritage Guitar is in the old Gibson building in Kalamazoo. Toured the place last fall. They still makes their guitars the old handmade way. JP Moats, Rendall Wall & the other old gibson guys have kept it alive

Epiphone Hummingbird does have a solid spruce top, it's not laminate. The materials on the Epi are nearly identical to the $2K+ Gibson. There are differences that account for the huge price difference, but the Epi is still a quality guitar for around $250!

hiIv just been to the guitar shop.I tried an epi hummingbird against a gibson. There isnt much difference (sound wise or playability) obviously gibson has better materials, and im sure in time the gibson will mature far better. But hey, i bought the epi and its great. If you want a warm bassy sound get 1

Eppy is pretty much the son of Gibson, so they don't think 'poo'...they think 'make a guitar similar to our Gibsons, but at a price affordable for common people'. |
