Its incredibly easy to get emotional when singing. Unlike playing an instrument singing is much closer to ones soul. And as for the song, its a very meaningful song, especially in context with the competition, if you know what it is about. So the reason for paul and him both singing it is understandable.

he cant sustain his notes very strongly, sounds like hes getting a bit short breathed. I he needs to work on that but hes definately got potential. Please dont give this comment a negative, I know my opera and am able to critique well.
