Michigan's prelude to a great 2006 season. Their best win of the year, one of the most classic games at the Big House.

Well, after this, Penn State came back strong and blew out everybody else they played until the Orange Bowl. So this one blemish isn't any worse than Oklahoma's loss to Colorado last year. I say 1999 Minnesota hurts a thousand times more. After being snakebitten by Minnesota, we went into a coma until the Michigan State game in 2004, where we played like the Penn State everyone knew. That 1999 Minnesota loss is one I wish I could forget ever happened.

I don't think that USC or Texas would have had their way with us. For example, Texas struggles to beat an Ohio State team that Penn State has their way with in a game not as close as the score. Penn State shouldn't have tried to run the clock so early though, could have easily been 24-10, or even 31-10. I think we could have beaten USC or Texas in the Rose Bowl. Remember how everyone said that one loss Florida who had close games would get killed by Ohio State in 2006? But Florida blew them out.

probably good thing the reff made a lot a calls against penn state cuz we would have gotten killed by texas or usc. (a few calls were bad for michigan 2, like henne's fumble, im not blaming the video review though cuz u couldnt overturn tht call. Bottom line they were bad reffs)

The timeout is called when the official sees it, not when the player "meant" to call it. The two seconds shouldn't have been added. And also that out of bounds catch by Jason Avant ruled in bounds, bad call. That came just looked rigged. It doesn't make us whiners because we don't like getting shafted. If the reverse happened, you wouldn't exactly call yourselves "whiners" and I doubt you'd accept the loss. I know that bad calls are a part of the game, but that doesn't make them any more legit.

psu fans will never get over the 1 second thing even though the time was legitimately placed back on the clock by the OFFICIALS btw. You whiney psu fans make it sound like carr secretly went to the pressbox and added time on the clock... please... A timeout was called and they accidentally ran too many seconds off the clock. Everyone noticed, especially a heads up coach in lloyd carr so he argued and the officials had the time put back on. Wake up, stop whining, and accept the loss.

This game was one of the most crooked games I've ever seen with the refs spotting the ball short quite a few times for PSU, calling Jason Avant in bounds when he was clearly out, giving Lloyd Carr two seconds, even though the rules state that the clock stops when a ref sees the timeout signal, not when he supposedly first gave the signal. Still a great game, though. But still, thanks for acknowledging that the win over Penn State was a quality win for the program, and not some easy win.

michigan is a classic team, it's a legend, it has te highest winning percentage of any division I college football team, they are also in a bowl for wat, about 17 consecutive years i think...also the michigan-ohio state rivalary is one of the best in all sports...
