I guess I can accept that. :)

oh they are not arguing about a book, they are arguing for arguments sake and for the GREAT GLORY of being 'right'.

I'll have to use it for my studies! I spend far too much time ignoring it. (stupid people arguing about a book.)

Good vid. It's interesting to read all these various "THEY are wrong!" or "NO, THEY are wrong" webpages. As with many many many other topics it's usually more about "winning" than acctually solving things or revealing the truth... or the core of the problem.I always spend a few hours a week watching the SEXY Creation/Evolution 'debate'. I think, without any doubt that you won't find a better subject to study for use of Logical Fallacy. It's sweet as sugar, I tell ya. Makes me smile.

Awesome! thanks a lot! The comparisons between $ci-fag-ology and Nazi Aryanism grows more accute every day. It's quite terrifying. And don't worry about having letters next to your name. Your name is made of letters, and that is proof enough that you are a philosopher. Don't let the world get you down with thier silly need for 'doncumentation of education in a system of bs that simply proves you know to follow culture and not the facts' .... I mean, I'm not upset with society, no not at all!

Demagoguery is what politics is about these days with infinitesimal exceptions, in my opinion. :) You're right! Hitler and the nazis were very rational too and they used logic, etc. They also believed in a master race of supremen. In $ci-fi-LIEntology they're called Clear & OTs (mostly the latter) And your video was very good & enlightening. I consider myself a philosopher but have no letters next to my name :) I rated it 5 stars.

Hmm, Cows, corn, milk, lakes, and snow.. Sounds like a place I grew up.. sort of MI. As far as where home is? I guess I don't know either. I do know this though, I love homemade chicken soup. During one of my Ah-Ha! experiences, I came to realize that the 'word' is not the 'thing' itself. The word, is the attempt to name the thing by agreed expresion.Hope you continue commenting once you get back 'home'.I think in Wisconsin, you'd likely want to find a legit Reuben Sandwich:) ttfn

I think most "IQ" tests are bs. Furthermore, (I love the word Furthermore) it's the people who think that they are smart who dismiss other's achievements. And! (I don't wanna over use Furthermore) this is probably the reason we can't seem to make a government that works.I'm gonna go listen to the Bloodhound Gang, for the 'intelligence in it.'

I know one thing and that is I cant know anything but this...And that its awesome to say awesome... becuase its awesome...And when it comes to IQ...I once made a test on the internet and one of the questions were a somewhat filosofical one, atleast if you ask me, and it was something similar to: A wise man, a) Knows nothing, b)knows a lot, c)...Im not that sure of the options, except a, or if A was right...I dont realy think this comment made sence, but hey I dont got time or space for it

well, I love "The Republic," but, if you are looking for a philosophical novel, I recommend "Demian" by H. Hess or "Gilgamesh," not so much for the philosophy, but so you can get back to the base, and see that a lot of the stories we have today are the same.Actually, Demian and Gilgamesh are strangely similar stories. |
