Ha. Do you really think little kids are going to pay attention if this guy tried teaching them grammar and the like? I'm sure this lesson was for fun and so the children were having fun and learning interesting English words and more importantly, so they would become interested in the language itself and continue to learn it.It may seem stupid to you, but it looks like THEY were enjoying it.

This class is a joke. You seem to have no real idea of what you're doing and I agree with errbag that it's completely irresponsible and just plain stupid to teach little kids these inane "ghetto" slang phrases that nobody with any sort of education actually uses. I think the fact that you were actually getting paid to teach these kids means you ought to have taken your responsibility a bit more seriously. The worst thing is, seven years have passed and you still seem to be proud of this...

Teaching children to speak ebonics and slang words is useless! It may seem funny to hear a child say those words, but it does nothing for them in terms of learning a new language. "Yo, you be down for dat man?!" Are you kidding me?! What a disgrace. Say what you will about the guys situation, "Oh, it's so hard to teach...ect." Give me a break! I am embarassed on behalf english speakers. This is wanking and I can not believe he is being paid to do this. Shame.
