Who do you think encouraged the pro-Bolshevik (1918-1921) pro-Soviet (1988-93) and pro-Russian (1993-2008) separatists within Georgia? Russian influence has been destabilizing the region!!!

Kremlin has a history of causing problems in the "near abroad" , and then coming to "fix" the problem. In 1918, 1921 and 1990's and 2008 the Kremlin ordered its own puppets (GEORGIAN COMMUNISTS (1921) and ethnic Ossetian and other minorities in Georgia) to provoke the Georgian Government. Was Separatist violence against Georgian civilian population not provoking enough for Georgian presidents: Jordania, Gamsakhurdia or Saakashvilli to act on?

(chuckles) U.S./NATO are trying to play their little communist-era game of "us and them" with RUSSIA?? Not gonna fucking happen. Trying to avoid Russian oil, trying to avoid Russian everything. But they're gonna learn that the motherland plays a new game, and has a new face. The Russians are going to use the U.S.' own weapon against them: capitalism.

If russian tanks were on the move through the Rocky tunnel, why georgians did not attack them first? Why did they have to kill 2000 civilians first in Tshinvali city?

Yeh well I'm a Brit.I'm sure it's not THAT much better here though. Yes I assumed it's better. We never have old PM's family members taking office. But then they are all white, male, and "christian".

Guess what redmattuk? When was the last time Americans have "chosen" anything? When was there ever a civilian chosen for president? Elite families rule U.S. not rulers that actually worked their way up, they are born into it. I bet Bush hates his job, nevertheless he must continue the family tradition. Where is democracy when one can assume we will see more Bush presidents

medvedev seams like an intelligent and frank person to me!

You know of all the times I've seen a big room full of Russian politicians they've not debated once... They aren't allowed to. The man in charge says all.No wonder there's no difference in opinion, they aren't used to thinking for themselves.
