I think it's amazing how much of an impact Jim's music had, considering how little he had time to record. This song is simply as beautiful as they come. Genius.

i was peeling potatoes when i heard this song some time back. I came to you tube and found the song. great song man. can't really describe how it makes me feel but i wish music was this powerful nowdays. talk about moving i'm going to listen to it again...

I generally can't stand most soft rock, especially from the 70's, but Jim Croce was different. I love this song. He had a sensitivity that didn't come out as cheesy. I wish today's pop music had the same kind of meaning.
