When you take off with a full payload of fuel and lose the power of an engine due to a bird entering an engine intake......its means shutting that engine down .....and the skill of a good pilot to control the aircraft ....to get it down on the ground again with the remaining engine in one piece......ex RAF groundcrew..Wittering on the Vulcan "v" bombers.......even small birds cause major problems!

everybodysgreen (August 25, 2008 at 9:48 am)

not really aeroplanes can function perfectly with only 1 engine
