pballa92, for a simpleton such as yourself, check out the video response. Alan explains how the downward vectored thrust is deflected.

Must be nice having everything handed to you. Im 16, soloed on my bday, have 30 hours logged, and have worked for every hour i have logged.

Brilliant aircraft that. Dad's got an SR22 at the moment and is upgrading to the jet as soon as it is released for sale in Australia..and I get the SR22 when he gets the jet :)Whats more is that i've racked up half my PPL hours and im still a year behind the requirement age :)I have to say though, flying your own plane absolutely kills commercial. The flight may be longer, and slightly less comfortable, but the experience is fantastic! Flying is one of the most exhilirating things to do.

I'm 12 and I have 5 hours in the SR22 GTS and that is the first aircraft I will buy!

dude. cirrus has been designing this for years. you'd think they figured that out. What kind of retard designs a jet with permanently downward vectored thrust?
AVweb (July 6, 2008 at 9:00 pm)
Hi, redbeast2Actually, it's vectored up, not down and is not active but fixed. The resultant thrust angle is probably closer to level or slightly "up" when the jet is on the ground. Mr. Klapmeier describes it a bit more in our other video listed as the Video Response, above. (Find the description around 3:08).Glenn Pew |
