It's not about the past and the future its about the song and Whitneyu Houston and Marvin Gayes version again left a lasting impression that cant be extinguished plus if you didnt know whitney houstons anthem was a buzz around thye nation and even number 6 on the music billboard chart thats how amazing it was and btw uumm you didnt see beyonce make headlines or get on the charts did you hell nawl because it didnt compare to Whitneys or Marvins

On the contrary you dont know music that ending was terrible if she would have not added so much drama it would have possibly been on par with Whitneys version but she ruined the closing plain and simple short and sweet

BEYONCE didn't fall off and she did a hell of a job I felt everything she was saying when she was singing the National Anthem, She didn't do any drama she song the hell out of this anthem..and it was SUPERIOR stop comparing Whitney and Beyonce Whitney was the past BEyonce is the future

Hater? how the hell am i a hater when i stated plain facts Whitney Houstons version was powerhouse far superior than beyonce's and even Marvin Gaye left a lastin impression with his version he had me in tears almost .like i said beyonce was doing excellent but fell off with the last parts of the anthem with all that addin on listen from 1:52 to 2:28,2:37 the broad shot herself in the foot with that stupid drama
