Here's a set up of my most recent caterpillars. I'm raising the gorgeious White Lined Sphinx. I'm thrilled that this is the first year I've ever seen them and I found five of the larva in my yard. I hope they all make it into adults.

Yes but, it was my fault that it died, I am sure. I do not even know what mine was called. Oh well. I find bugs of all types cute. To me, they are better then any sort of animal.

All my moths grew up and flew away. Thanks, I hope they are all making it out in the wild. Oh too bad. Sometimes they just die inside the cocoons like that for odd reasons. Yeah most caterpillars are really cute.

How are you're moths doing? I once caught a "Halloween-colored" caterpillar that was not very big. But she died as soon as she built a cocoon. It was quite sad. But I learned my lesson; to do some research before catching any caterpillar. No matter how adorable they are ^_^.

I'm not familiar with moths from Singapore, but this happens when females get caught. They think it's over and will lay all their eggs at once in desperation. You could let her go and she will go and find the approprate host plant. Do you have a picture? Without knowing the species I wouldn't be able to tell you what kind of plant you would need for the eggs.

Any pet store carries tanks both plastic ones or glass ones.
